Q.Are your ducts registered as heat resistant?
A.They are registered as JSIA Class 2 Heat Resistant Ducts.
Q.Please tell me about the material of KDEP.
A.It is flame-retardant polypropylene which does not contain halogen. [Halogen] is an element of Group 17 of the Periodic Table, which means the five elements of fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), and astatine (At).
Q.Please tell me the characteristics of flame retardant polypropylene.
A.The appearance is similar to polyethylene, but it is more rigid and has a high tensile strength. With the specific gravity of 0.9-0.92, It is also the lightest material among general-purpose plastics. It has a higher heat resistance than polyethylene at around 110℃. Although it is rigid, it is very strong against folding, is highly insulating and is also strong against chemicals. It is used for CD cases, lidded cases, and chemical containers / packaging, etc. making full use of its chemical resistance.
Q.Do you have oil resistant and chemical resistant ducts?
A.Excellent oil resistance and chemical resistance are general material properties of polypropylene.

Q. What size variations are available?
A.We offer 12 sizes as shown below. For details, please refer to the model list.
Q.What colors are available for KDEP?
A.The standard color is ivory (Munsell No: 2.5Y9 / 1). * It is the same color as the boxes of Nitto Kogyo Corporation and Kawamura Electric Inc.
Q.Can you provide other colors?
A. It is not possible to paint on resin material. Halogen substances are contained in KDEP primer (substrate treatment agent) (Halogen element: Cl is included.) For this reason, we do not sell painted KDEP.
Q.Is the separator (KDEPS) available?
A.We are currently planning to produce it.
Q.Can you provide side hole non-press, bottom hole non-press specifications?
A.We can provide non-press etc. Please ask at the time of ordering.
Q.Can you cut KDEP to the required length and/or drill holes?
A.Yes. For details, please see “Wiring Duct Processing Service“.
Other
Q. Is it possible to mold halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene as a base material for items other than ducts?
A. Yes. However, since there are some shapes that cannot be handled, please contact us.
Q.Can you issue a Certificate of non-applicability for KDEP (parameter sheet)?
A.Since it does not apply, it can be issued. (It can be issued on a sales office basis.) Regarding issuing requests, please ask your sales office or fill out the issue request form on the “Contact us page“.
Q.Are there delivery specifications in English?
A.Please let us know and we will create them as required
